Entry #7: Fresh
Fresh is a documentary that dives into the difficulties of the American food system, highlighting the challenges and successes of sustainable food production. This film is a call to action for consumers and farmers to rethink the way we produce and consume our food.
The tone of this film is informative and inspiring. It was made to educate viewers about the current state of the food system while also highlighting the potential for positive change through sustainable practices. It guides you through a sense of urgency regarding the issues. This is encouraging viewers to take action and support sustainable food production. The parts of this film that grabbed my interest very quickly was when the film was showing what farmers have to do to get healthy grass and feed for their cattle and other animals. The process they have to go through seems very time consuming and almost impossible to me. I feel that this film really was needed because yes farmers do also need to be educated in how to farm better and us consumers need to understand the work that is being done just so that we can have food. This film also helps us to understand that fact that some countries don't have the type of land to do this or that the countries don't have the product or education to build crops so that they can eat. Information like what is in this film can help countries and areas like that.
In conclusion fresh is a powerful and inspiring film that challenges us to rethink our relationship with food. It shows that sustainable food production is not only possible but essential for the health of our planet and future generation. By supporting sustainable practices and making conscious food choices, we can all play a part in creating a more sustainable food system.
